Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Digestive Research of Central Texas
WACO, Texas, April 20, 2023 – On March 30, Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the grand opening of Digestive Research of Central Texas, an integrated research provider with a scientific focus in prevalent digestive diseases and gastrointestinal disorders.
The ceremony brought together prominent members of Waco’s medical community, including the research center staff, and associates of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce. Following the ceremony was a reception at the research center, which included hors d’oeuvres, networking, and celebratory speeches.
“It is a great honor to be able to share the opening of our research center and raise awareness on fatty liver disease, with our incredible Waco community”, said Hanu Ancha, MD, primary investigator at Digestive Research of Central Texas. “Our research center creates more regular face-to-face patient care and monitoring, identifies disease progression early, and improves health outcomes in disease states that currently have no approved treatment options.”
Partnered with Waco Gastroenterology Associates and ObjectiveHealth, Digestive Research of Central Texas conducts clinical research trials in digestive diseases such as NASH, also known as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Patients also have access to colorectal cancer and liver health screenings at no cost, with an additional opportunity to be compensated for their participation.
